The Second Round of Retail kicks off in Berlin!

April 23rd, marks the launch of our second retail programme. Nine teams from different corners of the world have arrived in Berlin to start a new chapter of their start-up for a period of three months.

During this time our founders will meet approximately 100 mentors – that will help the start-ups with everything from their business model, to market and investment strategy.

Hundreds of start-ups across the world have applied for one of the nine coveted spots in the METRO Accelerator for Retail programme. Today (April 23), 9 selected start-ups; from Spain, Germany, India, Israel, and the UK join us in our offices to further develop their promising tech solutions for the Retail sector.

“There are many truly good ideas the retail sector can capitalise on. Here, we bridge the gap between the start-ups and their high potential and the retail sector with its experiences and its stores”

-explains Sylvia Dudek, Programme director of METRO Accelerator powered by Techstars.

“Together we will accelerate their development to successfully position the business models of the start-up teams in the market. For international teams, in particular our accelerator is a good opportunity for networking in the industry and establishing important contacts. “

We are excited to announce the following 9 start-ups from 5 countries who will be joining us. They have been carefully selected to take part in the second round of METRO Accelerator powered by Techstars Retail programme.
